- A recognized university Degree ideally in Quantity Surveying, or alternatively Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or Architecture or Project Management
- A Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Civil / Structural Engineer or Project Manager
- Commercial and claims experience on the construction of major building projects is essential, either with a client, consultant or a major contractor
- Detailed knowledge of the delivery of major building projects and preferably some experience of theatre or cultural venues
